The story begins with small-time circus magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) - a man who aspires to greater things. One day, his air balloon is suddenly swept inside a raging, violent tornado and whisked away to the weird and wonderful world of Oz. He then meets three witches - Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams) - who are convinced that he is the saviour everyone has been waiting for. Is Oscar indeed destined to become the fabled Wizard of Oz - one who can save the land from great evil? Filled with Raimi's boundless energy and visual flair, this lavish, big-budget fantasy takes viewers on an incredible journey.
