Christian Bale leads an amazing ensemble cast in this jaw-dropping crime thriller based on the real-life story of a conman recruited by the FBI. Bronx conman Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale) is a brilliant hustler who works in tandem with his British lover Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams). But the criminal duo aren't cunning enough to escape the attentions of deranged FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). He forcibly recruits them into a seductive, dangerous world where government and the mafia intersect. They're tasked with organising a sting centred on political operator Carmine Polito (Jeremy Renner). But the wild card is Irving's volatile wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence). Inspired by a true story from the late 1970s, David O. Russell's extraordinary thriller reunites the leading players from two of his most acclaimed films. Christian Bale and Amy Adams starred in 'The Fighter'. Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence led the cast of Russell's multiple award-winning 'Silver Linings Playbook'.
