A disapproving father threatens to derail young love in this satirical Indian romantic comedy. Mohit (Ayushmann Khurrana) and Mayera (Sonam Kapoor) are the perfect match. They're both young and middle class with ambition to burn and a penchant for the good life. Mohit is a marketing whizzkid with his eye on the next rung of the corporate ladder. Mayera works in finance and has a taste for expensive shoes. But they're united by their belief that love is all they really need. Unfortunately, Mayera's traditionalist father, V.K. Sehgal (Rishi Kapoor), takes a very different view. When he meets Mohit, he's appalled to find that his daughter is dating a mid-level executive. Only a rich man can possibly bring her happiness, he insists. Written by multi-talented 'Band Baaja Baaraat' screenwriter Habib Faisal, 'Bewakoofiyaan' takes a funny and incisive look at modern relationships in a consumerist, recession-hit society.
